In Digital Surgery, students of medicine can explore operation rooms and get information about machines in VR. Also, they can watch 3D-videos of operations and get a closer look than it would be possible in real life.
Creating a freely explorable room is quite easy in Mozilla Hubs. 3DVista makes it possible to create a 360° photo of actual rooms that can then be discovered without the need of being on site. A 3D video is rudimentarily possible.
Something similar can be created to visually show a workplace and (possibly dangerous) work operations. Students could e.g. watch a 3D video of a welder and get close to it without any harm.

Hardware: VR goggles
Software: no details, but similar projects are possible with Mozilla Hubs and 3DVista.
