Learning about the processes in complex machines of all kind. Invisible processes and machine parts can be made visible. Interactions promote independent, explorative learning.
During the project XRLehre, the ZHL at the university Bayreuth developed an AR-application together with the Chair of Polymer Materials. With the HoloLens 2, students can get a look inside a foam extruder and learn about the processes inside the machine when producing certain materials. Information screens and arrows guide the students step by step through the room and visualizations show what is happening to the materials in which step of the process.
