Mixamo is a web-based service and platform that allows users to easily create and customize 3D character animations for use in video games, films, and other digital media projects. It was acquired by Adobe in 2015 and became part of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of tools. It offers a large 3D Character Library and various motion-captured and preanimated motions that users can apply to their 3D characters. The process of rigging and skinning is automated, so new meshes can easily be applied to the animated skeletons.
